Perseverance

Perseverance

“Today I will do what others won't, so tomorrow I can accomplish what others can't”

― Jerry Rice (American Hall of Fame Footballer)

This week we have all enjoyed seeing the dreams of the UK and of the Olympic athletes come true as they beat Personal Bests and gain medals for Team UK.  It has been a great joy to share their triumphs on the court, track and arena.  It’s easy to forget that they are successful this week because of all the other weeks when we didn’t notice them, getting up early, running, jumping, lifting and practicing their art on cold wet mornings when the rest of us would rather grab a few extra minutes in bed.  That’s what I thought of when I saw the quote above, how our Olympic athletes, as well as being very talented, are willing to do what the rest of us usually won’t do – turn out day after day to practice, however painful it might be.

This month CSP Coaching has celebrated its 5th birthday.  Along with that, we have had a new course for Leaders and Managers accredited by the University College Marjon, and been appointed lead Coaches and Trainers by National MIND.  It didn’t happen overnight, it took years, just like the Olympic athletes, but we are seeing results.

If you want success for yourself, you need to be willing to go the extra mile, to persevere with your efforts.  If you are prepared to do what others won’t, then you have an excellent chance of being able to achieve what others can’t.  Good luck with achieving your dreams, whatever they are!
